Nancy Eileen Smith, 57, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on February 28, 2022. Nancy was born on August 10, 1964, in Adrian, Michigan to Mary Louise Smith and Floyd Ervin Smith. She grew up in Southwest Michigan, moved to Georgia for her education, and remained in the Metro Atlanta area.

She attended Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Computer Science. Nancy’s professional career was in the Information Technology field. She worked for AutomationDirect in Cumming, performing software development and systems integration.

Nancy’s passion in life was her horses - Eagle Al Nateeh aka “Nat” and Koweta Village Fair aka “Hobbes”. At the time of her death, Nancy was serving as Secretary of the Georgia Arabian Horse Association. Nancy was also a fine amateur photographer, mastered several crafts, and enjoyed camping and travel. She especially loved vacationing at a ranch in Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park.

Nancy is survived by her parents, Mary and Floyd Smith of Cumming, sister Annette Smith of Northville, Michigan and brother, Bradford (Renee Reid-Smith) Smith of Niles, Michigan. Special acknowledgment goes to her good friend April Goss of Cumming.
